The Opportunity

We're working with a well-established engineering business based in York with over three decades of experience delivering bespoke, site-specific engineering solutions for industrial clients across the UK. Due to continued growth, they're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team.

The Role

As Project Manager, you'll take ownership of projects from sales handover through design, fabrication, installation and completion. You'll be the main point of contact for clients, coordinating internal teams to keep projects on time, on budget and to a high standard. No two projects are the same — it's a varied, technically interesting role in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Take project handover from Sales and act as the primary client contact
• Survey customer sites and define project scope
• Produce GA concepts and brief the Drawing Office
• Coordinate design, fabrication and installation activities
• Manage project schedules, materials and costs
• Communicate clearly with clients throughout delivery

What We're Looking For

The ideal Project Manager will have:

• Proven experience in engineering project management
• Confidence working with engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Strong organisation and communication skills
• A practical, solutions-focused mindset
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication or process engineering — advantageous
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD (Inventor experience a bonus)
