Job Description
I’m currently supporting an advanced engineering team in Bristol who are looking to engage an experienced RF Engineer on an initial 3–5 month contract.
This role sits within a high-precision sensing environment, focused on laser stabilisation and phase-sensitive control systems, where RF techniques are used to extract and maintain extremely stable optical signals.
The work combines RF signal processing, analogue control loops, and precision measurement techniques, contributing to real-time stabilisation of laser-based systems.
Key experience required:
• Strong RF / analogue design background
• Experience with modulation and demodulation techniques
• Knowledge of mixers, filters, oscillators, and RF signal conditioning
• Experience with phase-sensitive detection and feedback control systems
• Understanding of low-noise design in RF or mixed-signal environments
Highly beneficial:
• Exposure to optical systems, photonics, or laser stabilisation
• Experience with frequency/phase locking techniques (e.g. PLL-like systems or PDH-style architectures)
• Background in scientific instrumentation or high-precision measurement systems
Location: Bristol (Hybrid)
Duration: 3–5 Month Contract
Rate: £40-£60
If you are available and interested, please reply with your CV or a suitable time for a confidential discussion.
