A leading manufacturing business in Worcestershire is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to drive performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement across its production operation.

The Role

Reporting into senior leadership, the Operations Manager will take full responsibility for manufacturing operations, ensuring productivity, quality, safety, and delivery targets are achieved.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing production and operational teams
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes
  • Managing KPIs relating to output, efficiency, quality, and waste reduction
  • Ensuring health & safety and compliance standards are maintained
  • Collaborating with supply chain, engineering, and senior management teams
  • Implementing operational strategies to support business growth
  • Monitoring budgets, resource planning, and operational performance

 

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience within an Operations Manager or senior manufacturing leadership role
  • Strong people management and leadership skills
  • Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
  • A continuous improvement mindset (Lean / Six Sigma experience advantageous)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to drive operational efficiencies
