Senior Quality Engineer
Location: West Sussex (Hybrid Working Available)
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 + Benefits

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing organisation based in West Sussex. This is a fantastic opportunity for a quality professional with strong AS9100 and ISO9001 experience to play a key role in maintaining and improving quality systems within a high-precision manufacturing environment.

The role offers a hybrid working setup, combining on-site collaboration with flexibility to work remotely.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the organisation’s Quality Management System (QMS) in line with AS9100 and ISO9001 standards

  • Lead internal and external audits, including customer and certification audits

  • Manage root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and supply chain teams

  • Support supplier quality management and supplier audits where required

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and industry requirements

  • Provide quality expertise during new product introduction and process changes

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Quality Engineer or Senior Quality Engineer role within manufacturing

  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 standards

  • Experience conducting internal and external audits

  • Skilled in root cause analysis tools (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone)

  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field (preferred)
