JOB- Project Manager

 

LOCATION- Manchester

 

TERM- Permanent

 

SALARY- £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

 

My client designs and manufactures a range of industrial engineering equipment. They are looking for a Project Manager to join their team in Manchester on a permanent basis.  

 

The Project Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Qualified in Mechanical Engineering (NVQ / HNC / HND / Degree or similar) or be QBE from working in a similar technical role
  • Experience of cleanrooms, laboratories, healthcare environments is a bonus
  • Previous experience working within project engineering and also R&D
  • Be able carry out mechanical design and read engineering drawings
  • Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Have previous experience working within a similar manufacturing environment
  • Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
  • Be flexible to travel as required

 

The Project Manager role will involve:

  • Managing a team working on the company’s product range; the new product introduction process
  • Being involved in managing new product developments
  • Taking things from concept to launch
  • Helping to develop existing products too
  • Liaising with customers as required keeping them up to date with project progress
  • Producing technical drawings as needed
  • Offering technical support
  • Sourcing and selecting components that are required
