Job Description
Role- Mechanical Design Engineer
Salary- £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Type- Permanent
Location- Bradford (Hybrid work available)
My client is a specialist manufacturer within the Machinery and Instrumentation sector. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Bradford on a permanent basis.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- BSc / BEng in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- 4 or more years of industry experience working in similar Mechanical Design role
- Ideally have some experience with machinery, components, equipment
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and instrumentation
- Excellent proficiency with CAD software – AutoCAD is desirable
- Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge
- The ability to understand system requirements
- Be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Able to travel nationally and internationally on occasion
The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
- Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings
- Leading client projects to convert ideas into designs
- Working on new product concepts
- Being involved in the product design and development process using CAD
- Leading manufacture, construction, installation and maintenance documentation
- Working with high precision instrumentation products
- Perform detailed calculations
- Conducting design reviews
