JOB- Mechanical Design Engineer / Development Engineer
LOCATION- East Sussex
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £25,000 - £31,000 per annum (dependent on experience; please advise)
My client design and manufacture a variety of plastic products and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis in the East Sussex area.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- HNC / HND / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
- New Graduate’s will also be considered
- Any placement / experience in the engineering sector in a similar design role working hands on with prototypes would be desirable but not essential
- Good 3D CAD knowledge ideal (SolidWorks preferable)
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
- Have good communication skills both verbal and written
- Good proficiency with using Microsoft Office
The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
- Working hands on within the Engineering team
- Supporting new products into the production process
- Assisting Design Engineers with product development
- Creating product BOM’s
- Integrating with company documentation procedures
- Designing / draughting work using SolidWorks
- Communicating with different team members
- Working on different projects and achieving the timescales set
