JOB- CAD Technician
LOCATION- Dorset
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £26,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience
My client is a specialise manufacturer. They are looking for a CAD Technician to join their team in the Dorset area on a permanent basis.
The CAD Technician will ideally have the following attributes:
- 0-2 years’ experience in a similar CAD Operation / Design Engineering / Mechanical Engineering position
- Be proficient using 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD
- Ideally be qualified with a Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Any previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficient using MS Office
- Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
- Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
The CAD Technician role will involve:
- Working within the current engineering team with other CAD Technicians
- Producing 2D designs using AutoCAD
- Liaising with manufacturing providers
- Being involved in final assembly of products
- Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
- Updating 3D models and drawings
- Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
- Checking drawings for sign off
- Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
