JOB – Quality Engineer 

LOCATION - Dorset  

TERM- Permanent
SALARY- Up to £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)  
  

  

A great company, the UK’s largest in their field, is looking to bring on a Quality Engineer to come and join their team. The ideal candidate will champion product & process quality whilst providing support to Manufacturing facility to help achieve quality objectives and reduce COPQ.


The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
 

  • A Quality/Engineering or similar Degree / HNC / NVQ or equivalent work based experience.  
  • Experience and knowledge of Lean measurement tools such as 8D, 5Why’s, Ishikawa, DMAIC, Internal Auditing etc.  
  • Knowledge or experience in with PPAP, ISIR and Supplier Quality Assessments
  • Ability to use own initiative and work as a team when needed.  
  • Relevant experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment would be beneficial but not essential.  
  • Proficient with use of Microsoft packages
  • Full Driving License  


The Quality Engineer role will involve:
 

  • Carry out Root Cause Analysis and report activities.  
  • Use of PPAP and coordinating the completion within the business.  
  • Review how effective supplier corrective actions are and support the relevant team in the analysis of Quality Inspection.  
  • Provide support in key NPI projects whilst ensuring Quality conformance.  
  • Carry out supplier Quality improvement activities.  
  • Continually look for ways to improve processes and procedures to attain the greatest levels of quality and efficiency (continuous improvement).  
  • Ensure that ISO9001 requirements are being met across the business.  
  • Facilitate the successful completion of the internal auditing programme.  
  • Reduce the cost of poor Quality and meet the Quality standards by providing support within the Manufacturing facility.
