JOB –Quality Engineer / Metrology Specialist

LOCATION – Gloucestershire

TERM- Permanent

SALARY – up to £35,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependant on experience).

We are looking for a Quality Engineer, CMM Programmer or Metrology Specialist on a permanent basis in the West Drayton area with experience of machined parts. Your main duties will be assisting with the day-to-day activities of the Quality engineering and Manufacturing  team.

The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• 2 years’ experience or more in a similar Quality Engineering, CMM or Metrology focused position.
• Knowledge of various Quality Inspection / metrology tools and techniques
• Understanding of ISO9001 or similar QMS standards.
• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Familiarity with the auditing process.
• Have previous experience working in a similar machined parts manufacturer.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience in customer / client focused communication – advantageous.

The Quality Engineer role will involve:

• Assisting the Management within the business on Metrology questions and responsibilities.
• Advise on best methods of Quality Inspection / Engineering.
• Carry out inspection of various components.

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Quality Engineer to join our team in Wolverhampton. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of quality processes and ensure adherence to established standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality assurance and a strong understanding of ISO 9001 standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
• Support the maintenance and development of the quality management system.
• Identify and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality concerns.
• Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Assist with external audits and liaise with certification bodies as required.
• Provide guidance and training to team members on quality standards and best practices.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in a Quality Engineer or similar role.

ROLE - Quality Engineer

SALARY - £45,000 - £50,000 per annum dependant on experience (please advise)

 

My innovative engineering client is looking to take on a Quality Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the Sheffield area.

 

The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• Degree, HND Qualification in Quality, Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical subject
• Have industry experience working within a similar quality engineer role within another manufacturing engineering environment
• Experience of working in an ISO9001 environments ideally
• Good knowledge of quality assurance methods and tools such as 8D, Six Sigma etc.
• Experience working with customers & suppliers

 

The Quality Engineer role will involve:

• Working full time onsite as part of the engineering team
• Ensuring all products and services meet ISO90001 standards
• Conducting quality audits
• Implementing any process improvements that are identified
• Working as part of a cross-functional team
• Supporting overall continuous improvement activities

We are looking for Quality Engineer on a permanent basis in the Oxfordshire area with experience in the electronic engineering / manufacturing industry. Your main duty will be to assist the Quality Management Team in the day-to-day running of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and other quality engineering responsibilities.

The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• Qualified in Engineering ideally (NVQ / HNC / HND / Degree or similar) OR Qualified by experience in Engineering
• Previous Experience within a electronic manufacturing environment
• Experience of various quality tools (8D, 5 Whys, Lean manufacturing, auditing etc)
• Knowledge of QMS, either ISO9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Be self-motivated and have a positive attitude
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Any relevant experience leading audits – beneficial but not needed

The Quality Engineer role will involve:

• Ensuring that any failures are reviewed with manufacturing and engineering.
• Ensuring all products meet the required quality standards.
• Being responsible for the 8D, Root Cause Analysis, Lean manufacturing and similar  responsibilities.
• Assist other engineering teams with improving quality.
• Coordinating activities for continuous improvement
• Conducting Internal Quality audits.

JOB – Power Plant / Site Manager

LOCATION – Cornwall  

TERM- Permanent

SALARY – £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

We are looking for a Factory Manager, Site Manager, Plant Manager or similar Manager within an Energy or Power generation business on a permanent basis in the Cornwall area. Your main duties will include overseeing the facility including training, development of staff and day to day problem solving.

The Plant / Site Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

• Experience working as an Site or Plant Manager within Power Generation, Nuclear Energy, Renewable Energy, Turbine Generation or similar power / electrical industries.
• Familiar with processes and technical requirements of a power generation facility.
• Exposure to managing manufacturing, operations, maintenance, and Health & Safety of a site.
• Capable of leading a team day to day to improve performance and reliability of plant.

• Can communicate with other members of staff and other members of management.

• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Experience of managing or overseeing Health and Safety responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as team
• Exposure to Renewable Energy - Beneficial.

The Site / Plant Manager role will involve:

• Overseeing the day to day operation of the energy generation facility.
• Responsible for Health & Safety, Maintenance and Operations.
• Drive an attitude of continuous improvement activities within the business.
• Taking a “hands on” approach within business and creating SOP’s.
• Liaising with other departments to ensure KPI’s are met.
