CAD Technician – Manufacturing
Location: Manchester
Salary: £30,000-40,000
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Role

As a CAD Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the design and engineering teams by producing accurate technical drawings and models. You will be involved throughout the product development lifecycle, from initial concept through to manufacture.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using industry-standard software

• Interpret engineering specifications and translate them into technical designs

• Work closely with design engineers, production teams, and project managers

• Amend and update existing drawings in line with project requirements

• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant standards and manufacturing processes

• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the design function

Requirements

• Previous experience in a CAD Technician or similar role within a manufacturing environment

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor or similar)

• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Good communication and organisational skills
