Location: Halifax (Field-based role with travel across the North of the UK and occasional overnight stays)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are working on behalf of our client to recruit a dedicated and skilled Field Service Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for visiting customer sites across the North of the UK (and potentially further afield) to provide essential technical support, equipment installation, calibration, and troubleshooting services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install precision measuring equipment at customer sites.

• Complete service, maintenance, and calibration work to a high standard.

• Undertake fault-finding, diagnosis, and rectification of equipment issues.

• Provide on-site customer support and ensure satisfaction with services delivered.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of HNC/BTEC or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline, or relevant industry experience.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.

• Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proficient IT skills, including the use of service-related software and reporting tools.

• Full, valid driving license (required for travel).

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience of fault-finding and troubleshooting on mechanical and/or electrical systems.

• Strong time management skills to handle multiple service calls efficiently.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with customers.
