An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Turner Setter/Operator to join a growing precision engineering manufacturer based in Thornaby, Stockton on Tees. This is a brand new role for the business — an ideal opportunity for a CNC Turner Setter/Operator who wants to make their mark and help shape a function from the ground up.

The Role:

As CNC Turner Setter/Operator you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC turning machines to produce high-quality precision components, working to tight tolerances and exacting standards. This is a hands-on role requiring a confident, self-sufficient CNC Turner Setter/Operator who can hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing
• Programme and adjust machine parameters using Fanuc controls and G-code
• Conduct quality checks on finished parts to meet strict tolerances
• Carry out routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Document production activities accurately
• Collaborate with the wider team to drive continuous process improvement

What They're Looking For:

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner Setter/Operator or in a similar machining role
• Confident with Fanuc controls and proficient in G-code programming
• Competent in setting tools and adjusting offsets independently
• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining processes
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using measuring equipment
• Experience with grinding or milling is highly desirable
• Previous supervisory experience would be a bonus

The Package:

• £30,000–£40,000 depending on experience
• Non-contractual performance bonus — 10% of annual salary achieved last year

The Maintenance & Service Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• Have a Mechanical and/or Electrical background
• Fault-finding and preventative maintenance experience
• Able to understand drawings
• Ideally some experience in Controls/Gate Automation/Barrier Automation

Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join our team. Reporting directly to senior management, you will play a key role in delivering technical support services both internally and externally.

The ideal candidate will have an electronics or systems background, along with a solid understanding of IP infrastructure and network-based systems.

Responsibilities:

• Providing technical product support to customers and internal teams via telephone, email and online platforms
• Occasional customer site visits to provide assistance and support
• Delivering technical training and preparing customer training materials
• Supporting the sales team to maintain high standards of customer service
• Testing and configuring products
• Assisting with small-batch production activities including testing, configuration and some assembly work

Skills and experience:

• Qualification level HNC in Electronics or similar discipline

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
• Degree qualified Engineer with a minimum of 5 years industry experience
• Proven ability in one of the leading 3D CAD modelling packages, ideally Creo
• Experience of designing with both metals and plastic materials
• Good experience in working with electromechanical products
• Knowledge/experience in concept design work
• Knowledge of rotating components such as bearings, seals, gears, and pulleys would be advantageous
• Excellent knowledge of GD&Ts
• Experience in DFMEA and DFM
• Ability to work from first principles in concept design work, utilising strong problem-solving skills

• Assisting in the design of a range of engine ancillaries including oil, water, and fuel pumps
